At Woke Yoga Loft, we offer a few different styles of classes. Below is a summary of what to expect from each class type.
Hatha / Gentle Flow
Hatha yoga classes use the breath to create a link between the body and the mind. Hatha classes are open to all levels, as all postures have modifications and every practice can be taken at its own pace. Hatha classes build flexibility and strength. This well-rounded style balances and opens the body. You will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment.
Vinyasa / Fluid Flow
Vinyasa classes are known for their fluid, movement-intensive practices. Vinyasa teachers sequence their classes to smoothly transition from pose to pose, with the intention of linking breath to movement, and often play music to keep things lively. No two vinyasa classes are the same. If you hate routine and love to test your physical limits, vinyasa may be just your ticket.
Yin / Resorative
Restorative yoga is a delicious way to relax and soothe frayed nerves. Also described as yin yoga, restorative classes use bolsters, blankets, and blocks to prop students into passive poses so the body can experience the benefits of a pose without having to exert any effort. A good restorative class is more rejuvenating than a nap, and can restore our body similar to five hours of rest.
Power Yoga, either heated or non-heated will leave you feeling like a million bucks. Feel rejuvenated as you flow through a paced yoga sequence that connects your body and mind while leaving your muscles pumping with blood and feeling more flexible than ever.
All Levels Flow
Our all levels classes combine hatha and vinyasa type flows and offer a variety of modifications allowing students to practice at their own pace and comfortability.
